I’m always a bit skeptical when reading the last in a series . . . There’s always the question of whether the author can truly deliver an impact and soundly give readers closure. With Sins of the Mother, Victoria Christopher Murray proved why she is a leader in her genre. I’ve always been a fan of her writing style—the compact storylines with characters so real they can jump off the page. . . Her masterful storytelling had me up until 2am, on the brink of reading insanity!

Anyone who knows Jasmine knows she thrives off of control. However, in this novel, circumstances are simply out of her hand. She’s at the will of God and the mercy of all those in her life, including a few enemies. As loved ones struggle to hold on to a glimmer of hope for little Jacqueline’s return, Murray delivers to readers a powerful message of love, forgiveness, and the ultimate faith in God—without being too preachy. Fans of Jasmine’s theatrics and Hosea’s passion for “doing the right thing” will not be disappointed. - Sistah Tasha

First off, I have to say that I have never been a big fan of Christian Fiction. Some are just too preachy, with tell-tale storylines that failed to disguise the so-called hidden messages. With Too Little, Too Late, Ms. Murray literally slapped me upside the head and said, “You better recognize!” Oh-my-gosh . . . I can’t even gather the words to say how much I loved this book! A master storyteller, Christopher-Murray has crafted a tale so intricate, so clever that it’s nearly impossible to find a loose end. I appreciated that her characters were not over-the-top Christians; they were simply human. Their struggles were true testaments to the battles we have in our spiritual walks.

As a marriage and family therapist, I loved how she balanced the family dynamics—particularly the issues surrounding mistrust, deceit, and of course, the taboo subject: sex in the Christian home. Her writing style lured me into each character’s psyche: I went crazy with Alexis, fell in love with Hosea, was heartbroken with Brian, felt sorry for Jasmine, and most of all, wanted to dropkick Natasia! I couldn’t get enough. Real issues delivered by the hands of an exceptional storyteller.

In my book world, to become one of my favorite authors, it takes one to move a mountain, seriously. And . . Ms. Murray, you’ve made one crumble. I’m now a Christian Fiction reader, and definitely one of your biggest fans. - Sistah Tasha
